Teaching Through Curiosity Academy
1. About the Academy
Teaching Through Curiosity Academy (“the Academy”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides online educational courses and learning tools for adults who wish to study for personal development, intellectual curiosity and, where relevant, practical or career-related purposes.
Questions may be sent to info@ttcacademy.co.uk.
2. Educational status
Unless a particular course expressly states otherwise, Academy courses are independent educational programmes and are not regulated qualifications, university degrees or awards approved by Ofqual or another statutory awarding body.
Any Academy certificate described as a “Certificate of Completion” records completion of an Academy course only. It should not be represented as a regulated academic or professional qualification.
3. Course information
We aim to describe each course accurately, including its subject, curriculum, expected duration and any assessment or tutorial features. Course content may be improved or updated from time to time, provided that changes do not materially reduce the educational value of a course already purchased.
4. Enrolment and payment
The price and principal features of a paid course will be shown before the learner commits to purchase. Any applicable taxes and the period of access will also be stated before payment. Payment may be processed by a third-party payment provider such as PayPal; we do not need to receive or store the learner's full payment-card details.
A contract is formed when we accept the enrolment and issue confirmation electronically.
5. Cancellation and digital access
UK consumers may have statutory cancellation rights for contracts made online. Where a learner asks us to begin supplying digital content immediately during a statutory cancellation period, the checkout process will obtain any express consent and acknowledgement required by law before immediate access begins.
Nothing in these terms removes or restricts rights that a consumer has under applicable law. If digital content is faulty, not as described or otherwise fails to meet statutory requirements, the learner may have legal remedies in addition to anything stated here.
6. Learner accounts and access
Learners are responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential and for activity carried out through their account. Course access is for the enrolled learner and may not be resold, shared publicly or used to provide unauthorised access to others.
7. Acceptable use
Learners must not misuse the website, attempt to interfere with its security or operation, upload unlawful or harmful material, impersonate another person, or use Academy systems in a way that infringes the rights of others.
8. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the Academy's original course text, structure, branding, exercises and learning materials are protected by intellectual-property law. Enrolment gives the learner a personal, non-transferable right to use those materials for private study. It does not transfer ownership or permit commercial republication.
Short quotations and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective rights holders and are used only where lawful.
9. AI-supported tutoring
The Academy may provide AI-supported tutorial conversation, feedback and study assistance. AI output can be incomplete or mistaken and should be treated as educational assistance rather than an infallible authority. Learners remain responsible for their own judgments and for checking important factual, professional or academic claims.
10. Professional subjects
Courses touching on law, healthcare, finance, engineering or other professional subjects are provided for education and general understanding. They do not constitute legal, medical, financial, engineering or other regulated professional advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for an appropriately qualified professional.
11. Careers and volunteering
The Careers & Opportunities section is intended to help learners discover jobs and volunteering opportunities. Vacancy information may be supplied by third parties. We do not employ candidates on behalf of advertisers, control third-party recruitment decisions or guarantee that any vacancy remains open, is accurate, results in an interview, employment or a volunteering placement.
Learners should verify important vacancy details with the organisation advertising the opportunity before acting on them.
12. Availability of the service
We aim to keep the Academy available and secure but cannot promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, internet failures, hosting problems, external services or events outside our reasonable control may occasionally interrupt access. Where a material paid service is unavailable for a significant period, we will seek a fair remedy appropriate to the circumstances and the learner's statutory rights.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to those rights, the Academy is not responsible for indirect losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed, or for decisions made solely in reliance on educational or third-party vacancy information.
14. Complaints
If something goes wrong, please contact info@ttcacademy.co.uk. We will seek to deal with complaints fairly and within a reasonable period.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for legal, security, technical or operational reasons. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights already acquired by a learner. Material changes affecting an ongoing paid service will be communicated appropriately.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. A consumer retains any mandatory rights concerning the courts or laws that apply where they live.
